Shawnta Miller is a Maryland native that was born in Baltimore City, Maryland and raised in Harford County Maryland. As a little girl, she would binge watch baking shows on T.V. with her grandmother who happens to be her #1 inspiration. Her "Granny" was an exceptional cook, and you name it, she baked it!! Shawnta's favorites from her "Granny" were her pound cake, sweet potato cobbler, and her famous pecan pie cookies. Shawnta was also inspired by her mother who baked and decorated every one of her birthday cakes homemade. Although she was no professional, she was truly her first cake decorating instructor. Shawnta's love for cake turned into passion and a talent she never knew she had in the year 2011 when Caked by a Diva was born. Over the years, Shawnta has invested time, money, and commitment perfecting her craft. Shawnta loves to teach others the art of custom cake design and treat making.
